Directives & deliveries

TL;DR

/directives are today's daily goals you complete for rewards. /delivery is a daily quota board — fill crop orders (and delivery chains) for payouts. Both refresh daily and feed your Harvest Pass progress.

Beyond the open-ended grind, HarvestSeason gives you structured daily goals to chase — and a reason to grow a wider variety of crops.

Daily directives

/directives shows today’s set of daily objectives. Complete them through normal play and claim the rewards from the same menu. They refresh daily, so there’s always a fresh checklist.

Directives typically ask you to harvest a certain number of specific crops, sell a quota, or hit a particular score threshold — tasks that naturally overlap with what you’d be doing anyway. Completing them earns balance rewards and feeds your Harvest Pass progress, making them one of the most efficient things to do each session.

Because directives rotate, they’ll sometimes push you toward crops you might not have prioritised. That diversity often works in your favour — rotating through high-tier seeds keeps your Farming skill XP steady and your selling diminishing-returns windows fresh.

Deliveries

/delivery opens the daily delivery quota board: a set of crop orders the server wants filled. Hand in the requested crops to complete each order for a payout.

Two things make deliveries more than a simple sell:

  1. Chains. Some deliveries form multi-step chains — completing one order unlocks the next in sequence, with a bigger cumulative reward for seeing the whole chain through. Chains are worth prioritising when you have the right crops in stock.
  2. Rerolls. If you draw a quota that asks for a crop you don’t grow, use a delivery reroll (available through the shop) to swap it for something more suitable. Rerolls are a limited resource, so save them for genuinely unworkable quotas rather than marginal ones.

Delivery payouts land in your balance, not your season score — they’re a spendable-currency boost, not a leaderboard boost.

Why bother

Directives and deliveries give your farming direction and daily structure. Instead of purely maximising one crop, you get a reason to grow several — which happens to make you more resilient to featured-crop rotations and sale diminishing returns.

Together they’re a reliable daily source of balance and pass progress that stacks on top of your harvesting income.

Strategy & use-cases

Do directives before your main farming session, not after. Check /directives first thing, note what they’re asking for, and plant accordingly. If a directive wants you to harvest wheat this session, make sure you have a full wheat plot ready — don’t discover the goal after you’ve already harvested a different crop.

Delivery chains are high-ROI; complete them over individual orders. If you have the crops for a full chain, finish it before handing in isolated orders. The chain completion bonus often exceeds the sum of individual payouts.

Combine delivery quotas with the sell cycle. After filling a delivery order with the /delivery hand-in, sell your surplus through /sell in the same session. You’ve already harvested the crops; completing both in one pass maximises time efficiency.

Don’t burn rerolls on easily-farmed crops. A reroll is most valuable when a quota asks for a crop you genuinely can’t grow this season (wrong tier, wrong island layout). If it’s just inconvenient, it’s often faster to quick-plant the crop than spend a reroll.

Common mistakes

  • Not claiming directives. Completing the task doesn’t auto-claim the reward — open /directives and click claim, the same way you would /streak.
  • Ignoring chains. Players new to deliveries often complete single orders and miss that a chain is available. Check /delivery for chain indicators before handing in.
  • Burning rerolls early in the day. Delivery boards sometimes offer better follow-on orders after you complete the first — use rerolls only when the board is clearly bad for your current crops.
