The Harvester Tool
Run /tool to claim your soulbound Harvester Tool. It's bound to you, kept on death, can't be dropped or stored, and there's exactly one per player. Upgrade it in the shop for Fortune and an AoE sweep radius.
You harvest with one special item: the Harvester Tool, a soulbound counter-hoe.
Claiming it
Run /tool to receive yours. There is exactly one per player — the command, the admin
give, and the staff GUI all check whether you already have one, so you can never dupe it. The
starter chest deliberately contains no tool, so the guarded /tool command is the single source.
If you ever lose track of it — buried in your hotbar, swapped to a slot you forgot — just run
/tool again. It returns your existing tool, not a new one.
Why it’s soulbound
The tool is bound to you and built to be hard to lose:
- No-drop — you can’t drop it on the ground, intentionally or by accident.
- Kept on death — it survives every death, so a fall into the void or a pvp death (on other servers in a network) won’t strip it from you.
- Blocked from storage — it can’t be placed in chests, hoppers, or any non-player inventory. Automation can never hold it.
This last point matters a lot. The tool is how the server knows a harvest was player-initiated. Because automation can never hold your tool, it can never score on your behalf. The soulbound restriction is the structural enforcement that makes manual-harvest-only airtight — not a detection system, but a physical impossibility.
The crop counter
The Harvester Tool tracks a running crop counter — total harvests this session. You can see it updating on the tool’s lore as you farm. It’s a useful personal pacing reference and feeds into the action-bar combo feedback that plays when you’re on a harvesting streak.
Upgrading it
The tool grows with you through the shop Upgrades page:
Fortune
Adds Fortune enchantment to the tool, increasing the item drops per mature crop you break. More drops means more inventory to sell, which means more balance — without changing how much score each harvest awards. You must be holding the Harvester Tool when you buy the Fortune upgrade.
Fortune affects item yield only. It doesn’t multiply score — score is one point per mature crop harvested, not per item dropped.
AoE Harvest Sweep
Once purchased, a single swing also harvests mature crops around the one you directly hit, out to your purchased radius. Every crop in the sweep scores individually — it’s one of the biggest throughput boosts available. See Upgrades and Harvest QoL for the full breakdown.
Strategy & use-cases
- Buy Fortune early. The Fortune upgrade pays for itself quickly in extra item drops. More items per harvest means more to sell, compounding into more balance for further upgrades. Prioritise it before cosmetics.
- AoE sweep changes your layout. Once you have the sweep, dense planting rows reward you more than scattered plantings, since more neighbours fall in each swing. Consider replanning your island layout after you unlock it.
- Don’t let the tool idle in your inventory. You can only harvest with it selected in your hand,
so keep it accessible in your hotbar. After a
/sellor/shoptrip, confirm it’s back in your active slot before returning to the field. - Holding it for the Fortune purchase. If you’ve saved up for the Fortune upgrade, make sure you’re actually holding the tool when you open the shop — the upgrade requires it. A common trip to the shop goes wrong because the player switches slots mid-nav.
Common mistakes
- Running
/toolexpecting duplicates. It won’t work — the command hands back your existing tool. This is intentional and protects against exploits. - Trying to store the tool. It won’t go into a chest or hopper. If you’re trying to organise your inventory, the tool can only live in your player inventory or on your hotbar.
- Confusing Fortune (drops) with score. Fortune gives you more sellable items per harvest. It does not increase the score each harvest awards. Score comes from the number of mature crops you personally break — Fortune doesn’t change that count.

FAQ
How do I get the Harvester Tool?
Run /tool. You get exactly one, and it's bound to you. If you ever lose track of it, /tool gives you your existing one back — it won't create a duplicate.
Can I use a normal hoe instead?
No. The shop sells no hoes, and the starter chest contains none. Harvesting uses the soulbound Harvester Tool only.
What happens to it when I die?
It stays with you. The tool is no-drop and kept-on-death, and it's blocked from chests, hoppers, and every non-player inventory.
Can I upgrade the tool?
Yes. The shop's Upgrades page lets you add Fortune (more item drops per harvest) and buy an AoE Harvest Sweep (harvests neighbours in one swing). You must be holding the tool to buy the Fortune upgrade.
