Where the Farming skill resets each season, mastery is your lifetime progression — it carries across every season and reset.

Lifetime, not seasonal

Mastery accumulates over your whole time on the server. It does not wipe at season end — it’s a permanent record of how much you’ve farmed across your entire history on HarvestSeason. Because it never resets, it’s the fair basis for long-term rewards: things that recognise dedication without handing out competitive advantage in any single season.

Think of it this way: the Farming skill level is your sprint — it determines how powerful you are this season. Mastery is your marathon — it reflects the full body of work you’ve put in and shapes your identity on the server for years.

How mastery grows

Mastery accumulates from lifetime harvesting across seasons. Each season’s work adds to the running total. There’s no ceiling and no reset, so long-term players gradually unlock deeper tiers of perks and identity over time.

Mastery perks

At lifetime-mastery milestones you unlock mastery perks — display-only cosmetics and flair. They are a thank-you for the grind, not a power boost. Examples include cosmetic effects, titles, or other vanity that signals your history on the server.

The design is intentional: veterans can show off, but they don’t score faster. Every new season the leaderboard is decided purely by that season’s hand-harvesting, so a determined newcomer can beat a veteran with higher mastery. Prestige is about identity, not shortcuts.

Specialise paths

Run /specialize to choose a lifetime-mastery prestige path. This shapes your long-term identity and how your mastery expresses itself — a cosmetic and flavour choice that complements your playstyle. It sits alongside prestige as part of the endgame progression ladder.

You choose once (or at major milestones — check /specialize for the rules). Pick the path that reflects how you want your legacy to look.

Mastery and your island

Lifetime mastery also drives estate expansion. As your mastery crosses milestones, your island physically grows — more space to farm, more room to decorate. Because expansion is mastery-gated and mastery persists across seasons, your island gradually becomes a record of your long-term commitment, not a season’s output.

Strategy & use-cases

Play every season, even casually. Every harvest in any season adds to mastery. Even a short season where you don’t place on the leaderboard still inches you toward the next perk or estate expansion tier. Consistent play over time compounds.

Choose your specialise path deliberately. If you’re undecided, you don’t have to rush — check /specialize to see what each path unlocks cosmetically before committing. Some paths align better with certain playstyles or aesthetics.

Use mastery perks as a signal to rivals. Display-only perks serve a competitive psychological purpose: showing veteran status on the leaderboard or in chat can influence how others perceive the race. Don’t underestimate the value of presence.

Common mistakes

• Treating mastery and Farming level as the same thing. They are completely separate systems. The Farming level governs in-season abilities and tier unlocks; mastery governs lifetime perks and island growth. Losing track of the distinction leads to poor planning.
• Skipping seasons expecting mastery to “catch up” later. Every missed season is mastery you can’t recover. Regular play matters more than any single big season.
