Medals & the Medal Store
Medals are a vanity currency you earn by placing in Farming Contests. Spend them in the Medal Store (/medals) on exclusive cosmetics. They're one-way — never score or cash. The better you place in contests, the more medals you earn.
Medals are a dedicated reward currency for competition. They exist alongside balance, but they’re earned and spent in their own loop.
What medals are
Medals are a one-way, vanity-only currency. They cannot be converted into season score, used for shop purchases, or transferred to other players. The flow is simple: compete well in Farming Contests, earn medals, spend them on exclusive cosmetics in the Medal Store. Nothing else. This design keeps the competitive economy clean: medals are a flex, not a power-up.
Earning medals
You earn medals by performing well in Farming Contests — the timed, crop-specific competitions that run on the server. Contests ask you to harvest as much of a specific crop as possible within a window. Your placement determines your medal award: higher placement means more medals.
Because contest scores are driven by harvest count during the event window, all the usual rules apply — hand-harvesting only, automation never counts. Your Farming skill abilities (Double Drops, AoE Sweep, Green Terra) are live during contests, so higher-skilled players have a real throughput edge. Contest performance rewards both raw dedication and smart upgrade investment.
The Medal Store
Spend medals in the Medal Store:
/medalsopens the store and shows your current medal balance alongside available items./medals buy <id>purchases a specific item by its store ID (shown in the GUI).
The store stocks exclusive cosmetics unavailable anywhere else — titles, trails, or other flair that explicitly signal contest performance. These items are the only proof-of-contest cosmetic on the server: someone wearing a medal-exclusive cosmetic didn’t buy it, they earned it by placing well in a live competition.
Why medals are one-way
The one-way design is intentional. If medals could be converted to balance or score, contests would become a shortcut for economic gain or leaderboard climbing — undermining both the seasonal economy and the integrity of the main leaderboard. By making medals spendable only on cosmetics, contest rewards are kept strictly in the vanity lane: they recognise competitive performance without distorting the core game.
Similarly, medals don’t inflate your score or balance, so the leaderboard accurately reflects seasonal harvesting output, not contest grinding.
Strategy & use-cases
Enter every contest you can. Medals accumulate across contests. Even a mid-table finish earns some medals, and over multiple contests those amounts add up to meaningful store purchases. Missing a contest entirely is a missed opportunity that you can’t retroactively recover.
Stack your abilities before the contest starts. If a contest is upcoming, check your Farming skill level and whether Green Terra is on cooldown. Being in a position to trigger Green Terra in the first wave of the contest window maximises your early burst. AoE Sweep is especially powerful in a timed contest — every swing catches multiple crops.
Target the cosmetics you actually want, then work backwards. Open /medals and identify which
store item you want most. Note its price. Then calculate how many contest placements — at what finish
tier — would get you there. That gives you a concrete contest participation goal.
Use medals as a reason to keep competing even mid-season. If you’re not in contention for the
main leaderboard, Farming Contests offer a parallel track: you can compete for medal-exclusive
cosmetics independently of where you sit on /top. Top-tier medal-store items are a form of
prestige that the main leaderboard doesn’t award.
Common mistakes
- Not competing in contests because you don’t expect to win. Even mid-table and lower placements award medals. Consistent participation beats waiting until you’re “ready” to compete.
- Expecting medals to affect your leaderboard rank. They don’t — medals are cosmetic-only.
If you’re farming contests hoping to climb
/top, the effort is better spent on your main field. - Not checking
/medalsafter a contest. Medal awards happen automatically on contest close, but you need to check your balance to know what you have available to spend.
