Mythic crops

TL;DR

A rare (~1%) special drop from harvesting. Selling an authentic Mythic Crop adds a flat bonus straight to your SCORE — the one time selling boosts rank. Forged copies can't be cashed. The secret rotates at season end, voiding any hoarded Mythics.

Mythic Crops are the rare prize of the harvest — and the single exception to the score/cash split.

Finding one

Every hand-harvest has a small chance (around 1%) to drop a Mythic Crop alongside the normal crop item. They stand out visually — look for the distinct appearance and PDC tag in the item lore.

Two things raise your drop rate:

  • Lucky Harvest farming ability — a skill unlock that permanently increases your Mythic Crop drop chance. The higher your farming level, the better your odds.
  • Mythic Bloom season event — when a Mythic Bloom is active, the drop rate is dramatically elevated across all harvests. This is when Mythics “rain.” Check /season for active events.

Mythics cannot be placed as blocks. They’re collectibles, not seeds. They have no grow cycle — their value is entirely in selling them.

Selling one → bonus score

Normally selling pays cash (balance) only. Mythic Crops are the exception.

Selling an authentic Mythic:

  • Bypasses the cash path entirely — you receive no balance.
  • Adds a flat bonus directly to your season score — the number that drives the leaderboard.

This is the only time a sell action directly changes your rank. The flat bonus is applied immediately on sale and, like all season score, never goes back down.

Diminishing returns, sell boosters, and the Market demand premium do not apply to Mythic sales — the Mythic path is its own calculation, separate from the normal sell math.

Anti-forgery

Because Mythics are worth score, they’re protected at every level:

PDC stamp

Each Mythic Crop is stamped with a per-install secret when it drops from a harvest. This stamp is embedded in the item’s Persistent Data Container — it’s invisible to the player but checked by the server on every sale attempt.

Authentication on sale

When you sell a Mythic, the server authenticates the stamp. A Mythic created via /give, copied by another plugin, or NBT-duplicated in any way will fail the authentication check and earn nothing. There’s no error message telling you it failed — it simply won’t pay score.

Secret rotation at season end

The per-install secret rotates at the end of every season, as part of the season-end sequence. This voids every Mythic minted in the prior season. A Mythic you earned in Season 3 and carried into Season 4 will fail authentication — by design. You cannot bank Mythics across a reset to inflate the next season’s score.

This is a deliberate design decision, not a bug. Hoarding Mythics is explicitly not a viable strategy.

When to sell

The best practice is sell Mythics within the season they dropped. There’s no mechanical advantage to holding them — they don’t appreciate in value, and they’re voided at season end. The only reason to hold temporarily is strategic timing (e.g., saving for a Featured Rush window if Mythic bonus score stacks with it).

Strategy & use-cases

  • Level Lucky Harvest as soon as possible. Even a small increase in Mythic drop rate compounds over thousands of harvests across a season. It’s a permanent passive bonus — unlock it through the Farming skill as part of your normal leveling path.
  • Farm aggressively during Mythic Bloom events. The event-elevated drop rate is the best window to accumulate Mythics quickly. If a Mythic Bloom is active, prioritise high-throughput harvesting over other activities. AoE sweep on a full field during a Bloom can yield several Mythics in a single session.
  • Sell Mythics promptly after a season event. If you’ve stockpiled during a Bloom, don’t let them sit in your inventory until season end. Sell them soon after accumulating them.
  • Don’t trade or transfer Mythics. The anti-forgery system stamps each Mythic to the session it was generated in. Even if item trading were possible (it isn’t — there’s no /pay or player trading), a Mythic transferred between players would still need to be authentic to score. The economy is isolated for a reason.

Common mistakes

  • Trying to /give yourself Mythics. The authentication check is structural. Forged items look identical but earn nothing on sale. This is not a gap that can be closed with a smarter forging attempt — the stamp is verified server-side.
  • Hoarding Mythics to sell in the next season. The season-end secret rotation voids them. Sell within the season.
  • Selling a Mythic and expecting cash. Mythics bypass cash entirely. The trade-off is score instead of balance — that’s the deal. If you’re low on balance, you don’t get a cash top-up from a Mythic sale; you get a rank boost instead.
  • Forgetting to activate Lucky Harvest. If you’ve unlocked it as a farming ability but aren’t sure if it’s active, check your /skill page. The ability should be passively on once unlocked, but confirm it’s in the active set.

FAQ

How do I get a Mythic Crop?

They drop randomly from harvesting mature crops at a low chance (around 1%). The Lucky Harvest farming ability raises that chance.

Why did selling a Mythic add score instead of cash?

That's intentional. Mythic Crops are the one exception to "selling pays cash only" — an authentic Mythic sells for a flat season-score bonus instead of balance.

Can I duplicate or /give myself a Mythic?

No. Each Mythic is stamped with a per-install secret and authenticated on sale. Forged or copied Mythics fail the check and can't be cashed for score. The secret also rotates every season end, so a Mythic hoarded across the reset becomes worthless.

Should I sell Mythics immediately or save them?

Sell within the season they dropped. The anti-forgery secret rotates at season end, which voids every Mythic from the prior season. Hoarding them across a reset earns nothing.
