Pets

TL;DR

Pets are cosmetic companions that follow you. View and equip them with /pets (and /pets select <id>, /pets none). They're display-only — no stats, no gameplay effect.

Pets are cosmetic companions — a little particle friend that tags along as you farm.

Equipping a pet

You manage pets entirely from your GUI or via quick chat commands:

  • /pets — opens your pets GUI. Click any pet you own to equip it immediately.
  • /pets select <id> — equips a specific pet by ID without opening the GUI.
  • /pets none — dismisses your current pet.

Only pets you already own appear in the menu as selectable. Locked pets are shown so you know what’s out there to collect.

Display-only

Pets are purely cosmetic. They’re particle display companions with no stats and no gameplay effect whatsoever — equipping one won’t change your harvest speed, your score rate, your crop luck, or anything else competitive.

This is an intentional design rule: cosmetics never grant power on HarvestSeason. The leaderboard measures farming skill, not cosmetic collection. Whether you’re rocking a glowing companion or running bare, your score ceiling is exactly the same.

What the particle companion looks like

Each pet is a distinct particle effect that orbits or trails you as you move around your island. They’re visible to any player who visits your farm, so they’re as much about personality as personal enjoyment. Some pets are more subtle ambient effects; others are more expressive — you’ll see the difference in the GUI preview.

Collecting them

You unlock pets as cosmetic rewards through several routes:

  • Harvest Crates — some pets are crate-exclusive cosmetics.
  • Progression rewards — certain milestones and achievements can award pets as recognition for your time on the server.

Everything you own shows up in your /pets menu, so you’ll never lose track of what you’ve collected. There’s no pet “power” to chase — the only reason to collect more is because you want to.

Strategy & use-cases

Swap pets for different seasons. There’s no penalty for changing your pet mid-season, so feel free to rotate. Some players like using a particular pet during events or showcases to make their farm feel more “alive” for visitors.

Check the GUI even when you think you’re empty. If you’ve earned achievement or progression rewards recently, a new pet might already be waiting in your /pets GUI without a separate notification.

Use /pets none before screenshots or tours. If you’re planning to share your farm layout or invite someone for a visit, a clean view without a particle effect trailing you can make the island look sharper in screenshots.

Don’t confuse pets with Farming skill perks. Pets are cosmetic; Farming skill abilities like Green Thumb (auto-replant) and Double Drops are actual gameplay mechanics earned through leveling. Pets do nothing like that.

Run /pets to open the pets GUI and click one to equip, or use /pets select <id>. Remove your pet with /pets none.

Do pets help me farm?

How do I get more pets?

Pets are unlocked as cosmetic rewards (for example from crates or progression). Owned pets show up in your /pets menu.

Can I have more than one pet active at a time?
