Visiting farms
Visit other islands read-only via invites or public farms (/farm visit, /farm public). Tour the champion's or the day's featured farm with /tour. Visiting never lets you touch another player's plot — score stays entirely your own.
HarvestSeason is solo at heart, but it has a friendly social layer built around visiting.
Inviting and going public
You control access to your island at all times:
/farm invite <player>— sends an invite; the player can then/farm visityou./farm uninvite <player>//farm revoke <player>— removes a specific player’s access./farm public— opens your farm to any player who wants to drop by without a personal invite./farm private— locks the island back down to invited-only./farm visitors— shows who currently has access./farm visit <player>— teleports you to someone’s island if you have permission to be there.
Going public is purely optional. Many players keep their farms private during the early season to focus without distraction, then open up once their layout is established. Others go public straight away as a way to build community interest and climb toward the featured showcase.
Read-only by design
Every visit is strictly read-only — this is a locked design rule, not a configurable option. Visitors can walk around, look at crops, and admire the layout, but they cannot:
- Harvest any crop (including mature ones right in front of them)
- Break or place any block
- Open chests, barrels, or any other container
- Use the Harvester Tool on your island
- Manipulate your farm in any way
That guarantee is what keeps each player’s score honestly their own, no matter who drops by. Your leaderboard position can only move because of your own hands.
Tours and showcase
/tour— teleports you to the current season champion’s farm for a guided, read-only visit. You see exactly how a top-ranked island is set up./tour featured— visits the day’s featured public farm, spotlighted by the server from among all public islands.- You can like a farm you enjoy during a tour, adding to its showcase standing.
The featured showcase refreshes daily. Having your farm featured is a badge of community recognition — it doesn’t affect your score, but it puts your layout in front of every player curious enough to /tour featured.
Strategy & use-cases
Learn layouts from the top. If you’re struggling to optimize your farm, /tour is the fastest education available. You can walk every row of the champion’s island and take mental notes on crop selection, row density, and path layout — without asking anyone to explain it.
Use public farms as motivation, not comparison. Going public mid-season lets other players see your progress. Some players use this deliberately: knowing others can visit is a low-key accountability push to keep the island tidy and the crop rows full.
Invite before the season is over. The visiting system only works while islands exist. After a season reset, farms are wiped and unassigned, so if you want a friend to see what you built, invite them before season end.
Don’t worry about farming while you’re a visitor. You cannot accidentally harvest anything on someone else’s island — the protection is structural, not trust-based. Browse freely.
