Contributing your skills
Got a skill instead of spare cash? Offer it on the Contribute page. Staff review your submission, and if it's a fit you read and e-sign a short volunteer agreement — then your name joins the public wall of contributors. There's no pay; the reward is a better server and the recognition.
Not everyone can support a server with money — but plenty of people have a skill worth sharing. The Contributions program is HarvestSeason’s way of welcoming that help. It’s a little like a careers page, except nobody’s getting paid: it’s an avenue for talented people to put their skills toward a good cause and get recognized for it.
Who it’s for
If you make or do any of these, we’d love to hear from you:
- Graphic design & branding — logos, banners, icons, store art, thumbnails.
- Video — long & short form — trailers, montages, shorts, tutorials, event recaps.
- Builds & world design — hub spawns, event arenas, decorative builds.
- Writing & documentation — wiki articles, lore, announcements, guides.
- Development — plugins, tools, website, automation.
- Audio & music — soundtracks, sound effects, voiceover.
- Community & events — hosting, socials, helping the community tick.
- Something else — if you’ve got a skill we didn’t list, tell us anyway.
How it works
- Offer your skills. Head to the Contribute page, sign in, pick what you can help with, and tell us what you’d like to offer and why. Share a few links to examples of your work — a portfolio, a channel, past projects.
- Staff review it. A staff member looks over your submission, just like a support ticket. They may reach out to chat or ask for more detail.
- You’re offered an agreement. If it’s a fit, we send you a short volunteer contributor agreement to read and sign right on the website.
- You sign it. Read the full agreement, check the acknowledgments, and sign — type your name and (optionally) draw your signature. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian co-signs too.
- You join the wall. Once signed, your name appears on the public wall of contributors, grouped by what you contribute.
About the agreement
The agreement is short and in plain language. The key points:
- You’re contributing as a volunteer, with no expectation of payment or any other compensation.
- The work you create for HarvestSeason becomes its property — so the server can use, change, and publish it without any copyright worry later.
- You confirm the work is your own original work and doesn’t copy anyone else’s — this is the part that actually keeps everyone safe.
- As a courtesy, you keep the right to show your work in your own portfolio, with credit to HarvestSeason.
This is volunteer recognition, not a job. There’s no obligation on either side — you can step away any time, and so can we. The only “reward” is a better server and your spot on the wall.
The wall of contributors
Every approved, signed contributor goes on the public wall of contributors — their name, the skills they bring, and a link to their work if they shared one. It’s our way of saying thank you to the people who help grow the harvest.

FAQ
Do contributors get paid?
No. The Contributions program is for volunteers who want to help build HarvestSeason — graphics, video, builds, writing, and more. There's no payment, equity, or in-game reward. The recognition is your name on the public wall of contributors, and the satisfaction of improving the server.
What skills can I offer?
Graphic design and branding, long- and short-form video, builds and world design, writing and documentation, development, audio and music, community and events — or something else entirely. Pick the lanes that fit on the Contribute page and tell us what you bring.
Why do I have to sign an agreement?
So there's no confusion about ownership. The agreement confirms you're contributing as a volunteer with no expectation of payment, and that the work you create for HarvestSeason becomes its property. That protects both you and the server from copyright headaches down the line. It's a standard, plain-language volunteer agreement.
I'm under 18 — can I still contribute?
Yes. The signing step asks your age, and if you're under 18 a parent or guardian co-signs the agreement with you.
How long does it take?
Staff review submissions as they come in. If it's a fit, you'll get an agreement to sign right on the site, and once it's signed your name goes up on the wall.
