Endgame: spending your surplus

TL;DR

Balance is wiped at season end, so spend every coin before then — dump surplus into vanity sinks, and spend your final hours on a pure score push to lock in your division and leaderboard placing.

The end of a season flips your priorities. All through the season you spent balance to build power that compounds — but in the final stretch there’s no future for that power to pay back into, because balance and score are both wiped at season end. Endgame is about two things: spending every coin before it vanishes, and locking in the placing that actually carries forward.

What survives the wipe (and what doesn’t)

Know exactly what you’re protecting and what you’re emptying:

So balance is a use-it-or-lose-it resource at endgame, and your final score placing — your division and leaderboard rank — is the thing worth fighting for, because the rewards and Hall of Fame record tied to it are what carry over. See seasons & resets for the full end-of-season sequence.

Spend every coin: the vanity dump

Hoarded balance is worth exactly nothing once it’s wiped, so in the closing days convert all of it into things you value. The spending ladder inverts at endgame — power upgrades have little runway left to pay back, so anything beyond what still helps your final push goes into vanity sinks:

  • Cosmetics — titles, hats, decor, nick and chat colour. Display-only, and exactly what surplus balance is for.
  • High-cost decorative items and build packs — the priciest vanity exists to soak large surpluses.
  • /farm name and /nick slots — vanity naming sinks.
  • Pets and island decor — more display-only ways to spend down.

Don’t overthink it. The goal is a near-empty wallet at the wipe — every coin you carry across is a coin wasted.

The last-push score sprint

While you’re spending down balance, your score fight is still live — and score only rises until the wipe. Spend your final active hours on a pure score push, stacking every multiplier at once:

  • Harvest the featured crop across a full plot — the biggest score multiplier, applied to every swing.
  • Fire Green Terra and buy a Green Terra reset to fire it twice if you have the session for it.
  • Ride any active Featured Rush or festival window — if one lands in the closing stretch, that’s your peak score-per-swing of the season.
  • Burn your last boosters. Growth and XP boosters carry no value past the wipe, so spend them on the final push, not after.
  • Use surviving keys. Open crates for last-minute cash, boosters, or a mythic — and sell any authentic mythic for its flat score bonus before the wipe (the one sell-to-score path).

Every swing in the closing hours is permanent score that sets your final placing. Don’t spend the last session selling or decorating — swing.

Securing your placing

Your goal is to lock in the best division and leaderboard position you can hold:

  1. Know where you stand. Check /top and /division to see your rank and the gap to the bracket above (and the one chasing you).
  2. Push past a reachable threshold. If a division boundary or a top-N placing is within a focused session’s score, target it directly — that’s where the last push pays off most.
  3. Defend a held spot. If you’re comfortably placed, a steady featured harvest protects the gap; you don’t need heroics, just don’t go idle while rivals push.

Common mistakes

  • Carrying a full wallet into the wipe. Every unspent coin is lost. Spend down to near-empty.
  • Buying power upgrades in the final hours. Too little runway left to pay back — spend on the push or on vanity instead.
  • Spending the last session selling or decorating. Selling earns balance (about to be wiped) and decorating earns nothing for your rank. Swing instead.
  • Letting boosters, keys, or mythics expire. They carry no value past the wipe. Burn boosters, open crates, and sell authentic mythics before season end.
  • Going idle on a “safe” lead. Score only rises — a rival’s push can pass you while you’re away. Keep harvesting until the wipe.

FAQ

What happens to my balance at season end?

It's reset along with your score after rewards are distributed. Anything in your wallet at the wipe is lost — so spend it all before then.

What carries over to next season?

Your Hall of Fame entry, prestige badges, champion cosmetics, and lifetime mastery persist. Score and balance do not. Spend balance; protect your placing.

How should I spend the last hours of a season?

On a pure score push — harvest the featured crop with every boost stacked. Score is the only thing that sets your final placing, and it only rises until the wipe.

Where does leftover balance go if I can't think of anything to buy?

Vanity sinks — cosmetics, high-cost decorative items, /farm naming, /nick slots. They're display-only and exist precisely to soak surplus before it's wiped.
